So…it’s no secret that I’m a huge vintage Henry Link fan. I could still kick myself (often & very hard) for the HL piece that got away. I bought this piece for my college age son’s bedroom. He was a sophomore in college and sharing a house with 3 other friends. He had the largest bedroom and he needed a good bit of furniture to make it nice (according to me anyway). There was room for not only bedroom furniture but also a full-on living area type setup. That room really was massive! Me being who I am…of course, it couldn’t just be any old furniture. So…in all honesty, I have a thing for birds. Most all birds but especially FLAMINGOS! I mean, what’s not to love about flamingos? They are so graceful & such a gorgeous color, right? You typically see them in groups (flamboyance) so they make quiet the color splash.

Flamingo’s symbolism & meaning include: beauty, balance, potential and romance. In some cultures, pink flamingos are seen as a symbol of good luck. Who can’t use more of ALL of those things?

I first wandered into my local (very) small town antique shop when I was just a little girl. Like, seriously…in elementary school, maybe 4th or 5th grade. Maybe 3rd grade now that I think about it.
