This is one of my favorite arrangements EVER! I’ve changed it out numerous times according to season/mood/what have you. It’s super fast & inexpensive too. I used silk hydrangeas in my photo here but you can use silk or dried hydrangeas (I’ve used both in the past). You can also use sunflowers, cabbage roses, peonies, whatever your heart desires. Shop your own collection of pillows first (shop your house). If any have seen better days…it’s time to let them go (before you’re tempted to use them again) and buy a few (or several) new ones.

Maybe 3rd grade now that I think about it. I was all by myself on a mission to find something really special for my mother’s birthday. It was summer so usually I would’ve been roaming around town with one or more of my girlfriends, going to The Donut Shop then on to Sterling’s. I was always more concerned about all of the dust the faux plants collected and how dead & flat a faux plant seemed to always make a room feel. I always strongly suggested both my staging and my design clients get rid of ALL faux plants. ALL. OF. THEM.

Read MoreWe’ve all heard the word Staging and seen the many HGTV & Netflix shows about how important Staging a home before putting it on the market is. Many have probably also heard from their real estate agents that they can tell them how to stage their home themselves or that the Realtor can stage their house if they just allow them to list it. BEWARE! Not all Stagings are the same.
