Is there a difference in a muumuu & a caftan?
According to Google… a muumuu is a Hawaiian-born house dress with a simple, tent-like A-line shape, while a caftan is a centuries-old Middle Eastern and North African robe featuring wide, kimono-style sleeves and often elegant draping.
I’m 100% good with both AND own several of each! I basically live in them, especially during the crazy, hot, humid weather in Florida.
I just prefer the sound of muumuu whether it’s actually a caftan or not. Just sounds (more) fun, IMO!
